He’s All That (2021, directed by Mark Waters) is a remake of 1999’s She’s All That, though I’m pretty sure that the former just gender swapped the main characters and borrowed the makeover plot point. Aside from that, the 2021 movie has been Gen Z-fied with social media and influencers.

After months of delay, Wonder Woman 1984 (WW84) (2020, directed by Patty Jenkins) premiered internationally in theatres earlier this week. The female-led blockbuster, which has kept eager fans waiting for almost half a year, is the second film in the Jenkins-led franchise. In the film, Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) takes audiences to 1984, as she fights a new kind of evil alongside familiar companion, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine).

For this year’s Thanksgiving holiday, Hulu has gifted us with a delightful lesbian Christmas-themed rom-com titled, Happiest Season (2020, co-written and directed by Clea DuVall), which stars Kristen Stewart as Abigail “Abby” and Mackenzie Davis as Harper, a couple who returns to the latter’s home for Christmas. Of course, chaos ensues when Harper reveals to Abby that she has not come out to her family and they are oblivious about the pair’s romantic relationship.
